DESCRIPTION

PRC-5712 Soldier Radios operate in 380-400 MHz freq. and have the capability of full duplex communication,

also allowing conferencing and VOX operation.

Digital voice coding and TDMA techniques are employed to achieve full duplex voice and data communications.

The 5712 Soldier Radio can communicate up to one kilometer on rural terrain. The radio has voice messages

and various alerts to inform the user of the state of selected communication modes.
