Thanks to sizeable breadth of cargo door (2,4m.) and installation of special access board, convenient lading both from land and from truck (car) body is acceptable; thus making handling more easy and speedy. Various machinery including cars, trucks etc. could be loaded into the compartment

To carry out handling the plane is furnished with a crane (weight-carrying ability 1500kg) mounted over the cargo door and conveyor of the cargo compartment

The conveyor is been operated by the electric motor or manually

AN-26 are equipped with two turboprop engines and one auxiliary jet installed in the right gondola of the baseline engine
