Two (2) Ford Excursion SUVs, armored in accordance with the specifications indicated below.

 

·    Modified Utility interior trimming, blending closely with the original interior fit and finish

 

·    Armor from the upper firewall closeout to and including the partition wall behind the rearmost seats
 

·    The manufacturing process will integrate transparent and opaque armor and the vehicles structural design, to ensure that the vehicles balanced structural loads will provide optimal ballistic protection to the occupants of the vehicle.
 

·    No gaps are permitted between opaque armor or between opaque to transparent armor transition points. Opaque armor joining or meeting on the same plane will be overlapped
 

·    Door overlap system with a right angle spall return, meets transparent armor
 

·    Opaque armor will be afforded a smooth protective paint coat, without seam seal, to allow for the inspection of armoring materials before trimming
 

·    The armoring elements will generally out of view of the interior passengers and persons outside of the vehicle
 

·     The opaque materials will be high hard steel armor
 

·    The transparent window armor will be overlapped and will be of a size dimension sufficient to allow for the driver’s rear view and the passenger’s vision with minimal obstruction
 

·    Attachment points of armoring materials will be reinforced to meet after armoring mass to accommodate increased vibration and stress. Fixation shall preclude dislodgement by ballistic, explosive device or vehicle collision.
 

·    The passenger compartment ergonomics and trim will not detract from the integrity of the vehicle, or vice versa.                          

·    Floor protection with fire retardant materials, will cover the entire floor area and will be installed with approved attachment points to the extremities of the blast material, meeting with the vertical opaque armor.

The weapon was positioned five meters from the target, the target being placed at a 90° angle from the weapon. Using this test method, the opaque armor being used in this quotation will defeat the following projectiles:

Note: Window lifting mechanism operates on a heavy duty ball drive actuator device which is mounted to the centre of the lower frame, with the frame urethaned to the lower edge of the Ballistic transparency.

                        Windshield with upper sun band, 12mm return, urethaned and set into original
